Arlingtons
Welcome to Arlingtons
Situated just yards away from the high street, Arlingtons is a buzzing brasserie style restaurant with a café bar set within the fascinating building converted from the Arlingtons Ballroom and before that, the original Ipswich Museum founded in 1847 and made famous by the presidency of Professor John Henslow, who had been Charles Darwin's mentor at Cambridge University.

It is the perfect venue to catch up with friends, talk business, celebrate special occasions or take the family out for a treat.
We are open all day every day and our French style menu, available from 12 noon through to 10pm, is served in a typical informal Brasserie manner offering, in addition to Daily Specials, a large selection of freshly prepared Suffolk reared meat dishes and vegetarian choices as well as fish & shellfish from sustainable sources.
Traditional English breakfast is served from 10.00am and afternoon tea, served from 2.30pm, is made popular by a variety of tempting homemade cakes.
We also offer a wide selection of wines to be enjoyed at the bar or at your table.
Our other dining options include a takeaway deli for those in a hurry as well as a café bar offering breakfast from 8am and a selection of snacks, light meals and homemade cakes throughout the day.
After a long day at work our stylish wine bar offers a fantastic selection of Champagne and wines by the glass as well as local ale and speciality beers and for those who just want a light bite in a cosy atmosphere can choose from a selection of the Brasserie favourites.
Our facilities also include The Darwin Room which can accommodate up to 14 people, ideal for private dining, wine tasting or business meetings and a gallery overlooking the Brasserie for a more intimate dining experience or quiet meeting.
